a lot of driveways to houses are tagged with highway=service + service=driveway + access=private.

if there are nodes on these highways tagged with barrier=* they are rendered to prominently up to zoom level 15, which doesn't look good in high density residential areas. example:

the map style should be modified, so barriers on private driveways are only show at zoom level 17 and higher.
