Description

Deleting a node that is part of a way using the applet seems to cause all segments attached to the node to be deleted but the way is not updated so is left referencing segments which no longer exist.

Yeah that is a problem I've been having. Currently the only workaround for applet mappers, is to delete the way, delete the node, then create the way again. Not always possible for long ways.

...Or avoid deleting nodes in existing ways, just rearrange them instead. For instance, not wanting to sever the 'West Coast Main Line' way, I shuffled a bunch of nodes very close to each other rather than deleting them last night: http://www.openstreetmap.org/index.html?lat=51.541920101464285&lon=-0.16217073771688292&zoom=16

Actually just discovered that you can fix the segments of a way using the 'segments' tab and the 'change' tickbox. Just learning as I go along. This trick makes it less of an issue, but still an issue
