OSM rendering is not taking account of the "width" tag on steps. (for exemple width=5 for a 5 meter width step)

See wiki for the tag usage :

Correct. Currently, supporting width=* is slightly hard, given that the source data can be in different projections.

any news on this?
I would like to see huge steps like this (nearly 50 meter wide) rendered correctly.

Unfortunately, we currently have no way to implement this: we cannot easily convert meters to pixels in Latex.
