The natural=scrub looks too much like wetland icon. The icon looks like a stylised reed or rush, these are wetland plants. Scrub is associated with woody plants/bushes up to 5m tall, not reeds and rushes.

I think the current rendering better expresses the idea of 'low plants'. To me, it doesn't look like water plants. The proposed icon looks to much like trees. I will therefore close this issue as wontfix.
