Can you please add some logic - validation, for example - to prevent users from drawing roads like this: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/131076046
It's not just a single case, but all over the place. Most novices draw them like that. For long roads they actually trace them twice: ABCDEFGFEDCBA. Is it a potlatch bug or a misunderstanding in the interface? In either case, something should be done with it.

I think this happens because users don't know how to end drawing a way. When you create an area, the way automatically ends, and that seems to be why the users draw it that way.
I've also encountered this behavior from newbies in my area.
