#4057 new enhancement

In Potlatch 2, it would be nice to have an option to disable the highlight / flicker effect that occurs when the mouse is moved

Description

In Potlatch2, when the cursor is moved across the screen any ways that it happens to pass over are highlighted and then dehighlighted causing a disconcerting flicker effect when the mouse is moved.

I can understand why it's there, and can even understand why it's the default, but it'd be nice if we could optionally turn it off!

In addition, the Flash player on Linux - or maybe only some Flash players in some Browsers - tends to be a bit slow with the result that a quick mouse move across a densely mapped area leads to a funny "mouse tail" effect, where the highlight takes a second or two to slowly move through all the objects until it reaches the mouse.
