xx/yy/zz numbering currently used can be misread. Better if year number was four digits, for example.

There seems to be no sane way to change this. There is some (insane) advice in the trac FAQ here:

http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracFaq#how-do-i-change-the-format-used-for-displaying-date-and-time

which we will not be following I'm afraid.

There are also two tickets on this subject in the trac bug tracker:

neither of which has produced a very helpful response.

So it doesn't look like there is much I can do about this.
