Distinguish pedestrian areas where cycling is permitted. Suggest blue to match cycle tracks/lanes, perhaps hatched to keep it subtle.

Cycle routes can appear disjointed when they pass through pedestrian areas where bicycle access is permitted.

I believe such areas appear as area=yes highway=pedestrian bicycle=yes
