[Submitted to the original trac issue database at 11.55am, Saturday, 3rd December 2011]

For example this: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=48.77709&mlon=14.97443&zoom=17

Name of Bezirk Gmnd is rendered outside this Bezirk (even in different country) on a seemingly urelated place.

Suggestion:
When name should be rendered outside an area, move it to the nearest place inside that area.
OR
Determine the position as the centre of line intersecting the area.
