Replying to Ldp:

I'd like to support the request and an example can be seen at right wing of Vienna International Center / oneway leading to roundabout.

Here’s another example: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=60.372388&lon=5.360979&zoom=18&layers=M

The highway=service going through the building ‘Armauer Hansens hus’ (and the building part connecting ‘Armauer Hansens hus’ and ‘Fjellsida’, or the builing part connecting ‘Armauer Hansens hus’ and ‘Sentralblokka’) are rendered on top of the building, and with no dashed outline. The highway=service is in all cases tagged as tunnel=yes and layer=-1.

Yes, I also hope that this will be fixed soon.

It would be nice the roads tagged with tunnel=Building_Passage can also be rendered as tunnels as this is curently not the case.
