Rendering of many coastal areas, particularly in the tropics, could be improved if ways & relations tagged with natural = reef were rendered.

Currently tag watch shows 2,865 ways and relations tagged with natural = reef.

Proposed rendering in a lighter shade of sea color, say #C8F4EF, and rendering on zoom levels 11-18.

actually rendering in colour #BFE1E1 gives better contrast between land and reef

I'd like to see this done as well. Although the blue is ok, I think a dotted background used on many countries topographic maps (US, Canada, Uk, etc) might be more appropriate. The blue is open to interpretation where the black specks make it more easily recognizable.

This is now being discussed on Github: gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto#545
Therefore, I will close the issue here.
