PL2 currently has imagery bounds for determining what imagery to suggest set as bounding boxes. Supporting polygon bounds would help reduce incorrect suggestions, particularly for sources that cover the lower 48 states of the US + Alaska. These sources have most of Canada in their bbox but do not have any imagery there.

polygons for most sources can be found in http://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Maps

As a workaround, could those imagery sources be defined as two bboxes - one for Alaska, one for mainland?

Fixed as part of move to editor-imagery-index.
