Currently there is no easy way to link to certain part of a map in OSM. I do know I can do things like: http://www.openstreetmap.org/index.html?mlat=47.39724275143&mlon=8.61871586517036&zoom=12
but this is hard for users to find out. We really, really should offer a "permalink", like the slippy map on http://informationfreeway.org does, so that people can browse to a certain map, and save and send that link as a bookmark.
I put this under website, although it is a slippy_map issue in the end, as I suspect somebody with www-admin powers will have to change that. I therfore won't be able to do the fixing myself.

The map has'' a permalink, it's just not ''called permalink, but "view". I'd like to have this called permalink or similar (link to this location, whatever)
