Opening the onlide editor Potlatch 2 following error is displayed on browser:
"
Application error
The OpenStreetMap server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request (HTTP 500)
Feel free to contact the OpenStreetMap community if your problem persists. Make a note of the exact URL / post data of your request.
This may be a problem in our Ruby On Rails code. 500 occurs with exceptions thrown outside of an action (like in Dispatcher setups or broken Ruby code)

Works fine from here.
Sometimes there are momentary problems with the server that might cause it to fall over. In that case simply retry. If you're still having problems, the best thing to do is pop on IRC (http://irc.openstreetmap.org/) and see if anyone else is having the same issue.
Generally a 500 error will suggest a problem with the osm.org site, not with P2 specifically.
