Coastline shapefiles haven't been rendered since October 2012! #4760

And it's now almost February 2013. It would be nice if the shapefiles were updated a bit more frequent that this. I've committed 100k+ coastline points during this time and still don't get to see it updated. : (

I have to add that the brittany coastline is crappy for months on the mapnik style !

Maybe it's time to think of a periodic process in the shapefile update :

  • Correct the coastline errors
  • creat new shpefile and compare some metrics (surface and perimeter of continents)

Coastlines have been updated, and with the switch to openstreetmap-carto we are no longer using the same coastlines.
