In Japan and Korea, crossroads/junctions instead of streets have names. These are currently not displayed on osm.org, with the consequence that it is next to impossible to get an orientation on the OSM map in these areas.
Based on the osm-talk list, the following solution was developed:
junction=yes and[[BR]]
name=*
should be rendered in a rectangular box above the node. A google maps example is attached.

I have mapped a lot in Korea, and I have shown OSM to many Koreans. Invariably, when they want to orient themselves with the map they look for named junctions that they know. Please implement this feature.
The suggestion of rendering name=* when junction=yes can be improved by rendering name=* when junction is not 'no', but I'd be happy to have it only when junction=yes.

To be a little bit more detailed:
Crossroad names help to orient yourself in the local aerea. In my humble opinion the should be rendert starting with the same zoom level when residential highways are rendered with names.
