It's about this address:
Filderhalle, 61, Bahnhofstrae, Leinfelden, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Landkreis Esslingen, Regierungsbezirk Stuttgart, Baden-Wrttemberg, 70771, Deutschland, Europischen Union

This is not particularly related to German syntax. Nominatim can't properly search for a named place and its house number in the same query. Searching for "Bahnhofstr, Leinfelden, Filderhalle" works just fine, "Filderhalle, 61, Bahnhofstr, Leinfelden" fails.
Technical note: the house number restricts the search rank to 16-27 when looking up objects in search_name, so the Filderhalle place does not appear in the results in the first place. Waiting for the refactoring to finish before looking into that.

It's about this address:
Filderhalle, 61, Bahnhofstrae, Leinfelden, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Landkreis Esslingen, Regierungsbezirk Stuttgart, Baden-Wrttemberg, 70771, Deutschland, Europischen Union
working queries:
Filderhalle
Filderhalle, Leinfelden
Filderhalle, Leinfelden, Bahnhofstr.
Bahnhofstr. 61, Leinfelden
not working:
Bahnhofstr. 61, Leinfelden, Filderhalle
So the combination of street number in german syntax and name of place seems to not work.
