Having a long list of search results with scrollbars showing and having scrolled down the list one has to scroll up again to be able to close the list. If the Search Results + Close-link were static and non-scrollable it would be more useful and easy to close the list.

I'm assuming this is for nominatim search results on the osm.org home page.
