I am confirming this. The whole map frame briefly flashes white.

It only happens with the Standard style, the other three styles are fine.

This will be a leaflet and/or browser issue so there is nothing we can do about it in the OSM code.

I can confirm this bug using Firefox and Chromium. This is obviously not a browser issue and hasn't been present a few days / a week ago. I suggest reopening and fixing this issue as it is very annoying.

Actually now that you've said it's a recent regression I'm pretty sure it is a problem in our code, and exactly what is causing it.
