I am not sure whether it's the right place to request this, but I am following example of ticket 2482 about dog_park. I am not sure whether ticket 2482 is already resolved or not; but, at least, it already has JOSM style rule.
Equestrian parks don't have any style rule - I have look up in Taginfo all of these:
landuse=animal_keeping
animal_keeping=horse
animal_keeping:type=open_stable
I have a test-case for this where I can observe Mapnik rendering.
I know there are about three times more dog parks on the OSM.org than places where horses are kept. However, I am sure that many people are currently ignorant of such places in their neighbourhoods. Making sure that it is rendered properly on the map will raise humans' awareness of horses and other living beings around them.
