Description
website search box and "where am I" reverse geocoding is not available anymore for use in potlatch2. It was available before the UI downgrade yesterday.
The only workaround for the search is to use P2's internal search which is not as good to handle. A workaround for reverse geocoding does not exist.

@Richard: "downgrade" is the most expressive/describing term here, IMHO. Sorry, I do not see a reason for displaying false happiness.
The search in Potlatch is flash (no browser autocompletion, no middle click to paste, ...). The small mag. glass icon is not easy to spot (in fact it looks like a zoom control ... near the +/-). The website's search box is more obvious and known to the user. And, reverse geocoding is not offered by P2, of course (I sometimes like to use bits of that in changeset comments).

I found another downside of P2's built in search: It does use a third-party server (http://open.mapquestapi.com/) instead of osm.org's own. If someone does not like to share personal data with mapquest P2's search feature is a nogo.
I'm curious: in what way is P2's internal search not as good? They're both unfiltered Nominatim results.
(Please don't use needlessly pejorative language like "UI downgrade", it just annoys people and makes it less likely your issue will be fixed. "UI changes" communicates the same information.)
