Search of the POI on the osm.org does not return building address if POI is located on the Building boundary.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open osm.org
  2. In the Search field type ", "

Expected:

Search returns node with following text: ", 45, Myru Avenue, Chernihiv, , Chernihiv, Chernihiv Oblast, 14000-14499, Ukraine"

In fact:

Search returns: ", Myru Avenue, Chernihiv, , Chernihiv, Chernihiv Oblast, 14000-14499, Ukraine"

POIs located in or on a building currently never inherit the house number of the building. It is something that is on the todo list.

Implemented in [changeset:ffe24a8/nominatim].

Please be aware that the database has not been reindexed. Changes will become visible only when objects are changed next time in OSM.

You mean all nodes has to be edited to force OSM to reindex them, don't you?

Replying to [comment:3 Dmitriy.Ovdienko@]:

I meant that the data in Nominatim will only update when a node is edited (or sometimes a street nearby or a surrounding boundary), yes. To clarify: I did not mean that you should make bogus edits on all nodes just to force Nominatim to reindex its data. There is a reimport of the database planned in the near future which will solve the issue planet-wide.
