I have switched the link from my employer's web site to OSM now that the area looks respectable (actually much better than any other online map), and now it has a marker to denote our location:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlon=-0.156508&mlat=51.382090&zoom=16

The link would be even more useful if I could shift the center of the image away from the marker to the South, so the train station is visible:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=51.381018608079245&lon=-0.15459826759503276&zoom=16

So links could pack in both a marker location and a center-of-view location. The perfect solution would of course show a route, but one step at a time :)

I believe you can use lat=&lon= for the centre and mlat=&mlon= for the marker position.

Hmm... Using both at the same time doesn't seem to work, but I think it is supposed to... I'll try and look at it later on.

OK. This should now work if you include both sets of position arguments in the URL.
