Currently, on the Mapnik style on Openstreetmap.org, cliffs with name=* are not labeled.
I would like for them to be labeled the same way as roads if they have a name=*. I assume most cliffs are not labeled, but this use case is especially useful for rock climbing destinations, where the names of certain cliff areas are well known and even labeled on government-made maps for informational signs and such.

For one such example, see http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KROvz2x8-IA/T9u2o387wSI/AAAAAAAAAG0/8SH6SZzCeYw/s1600/P6130027.JPG where the cliffs are thick red/white dashed lines. The corresponding area on OpenStreetMap is at http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/33131663#map=15/38.6284/-105.2227 and while the cliffs are mapped out, there are no labels to help visitors find the right areas.
Additionally, the cliff ways in the linked area have the tag "sport=climbing" but I do not think that needs to be taken into consideration here.
