On a full planet import, --wpd enableLinestringBuilder=yes nodeLocationStoreType=InMemory requires 45GB of memory. This is over twice what osm2pgsql requires for the same functionality (20GB), or twice what is needed for a simple flat array of positions (23GB). This makes the RAM requirements prohibitive.
