[Submitted to the original trac issue database at 11.54am, Sunday, 17th August 2014]

When I try to build osm2shp, I get this error:

cc -g -o osm2shp osm2shp.c -DLARGEFILE_SOURCE -lshp -lxml2 -I /usr/include/libxml2 -I /usr/include/glib-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -I /usr/lib/glib-2.0/include 
In file included from /usr/include/glib-2.0/glib/galloca.h:34:0,
                 from /usr/include/glib-2.0/glib.h:32,
                 from osm2shp.c:25:
/usr/include/glib-2.0/glib/gtypes.h:34:24: fatal error: glibconfig.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [osm2shp] Error 1

But the file does exist:

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/glib-2.0/include/glibconfig.h: C source, ASCII text
