The current version of the website software takes care not to show coordinates in the URLs, and as far as I can see, there is no "extract" feature for them either. So, add a link to the main map view for copy-pasting coordinates to recover this particular view. Or if there already is some facility to do this, make it more obvious, because I for one can't find it!

This problem is already being tracked in ticket 225.
For the reason, the software doesn't actual take care to do it - in fact I think it is currently more or less how it has always been (at least since the slippy map appeared) and if anything it shows coordinates in the URL more often now.
The way to get a URL for the page is to click on the view tab anyway, although we realise that is suboptimal and intend to improve it.
