Sorry, not going to happen.
The map is made up of images and those images include the text for place names etc and are shared among all users so there is no way to render different images for different users.

Normal users won't get very far with

There needs to be an increase / decrease font size button on the
website. Label it with A A A (bigger and bigger A's.)
Just because Google Maps doesn't have one doesn't mean OSM can't.
