Some areas I have avoided tracing because of the fiddly roundabouts there.
is it possible to have a function like merakaator to build roundabouts, also can we also have a present which tags the roundabout with all required attributes eg clockwise etc.
thanks

Could default to a certain width (eg. 10m) (or different widths depending on the type of way, wider for more major highways.)
Better would be to allow you to drag the circle to a certain width and automatically create more nodes as you go.
I think this would be a seriously useful feature. It would certainly encourage me to actually bother drawing roundabouts.
I would think it would work on any point in a way (generally it would be used on points where ways meet, but some roundabouts in areas under construction are at the ends of roads or have only two exits.)
Not sure how to implement which tags the roundabout should adopt. Some examples:
A roundabout with 4 exits: A crossroads with a trunk road and a primary road - the roundabout should be trunk. (Adopt the higher of the highway tags.)
A roundabout with 3 exits: Where a secondary road ends at a t-junction with a residential road. (Two exits are residential, one exit is secondary.) I think the roundabout should be residential by default (when travelling along the residential road in this case, the roundabout would not be of secondary standard (eg. two lanes, wider.) (Adopt the "most used" highway tag.)
Some direction= magic would be good too. Not sure how to implement that either. Could be based on the country which is being edited, or remember the last value used, or a preference.
I don't know much about names for roundabouts. Maybe adopt any name relationships from ways which cross the roundabout.
Again, definitely a feature I'm looking forward to!
