When I draw a new way and my end point gets near an old way, I get blue dots for existing points and also the "+" sign in the pointer to create a new node in the old way.
When I drag a point of an old way both options are not possible, but would be very nice.
Use cases:
a) join points of two ways, which have not been placed correctly.
b) Connect points which should be identical
c) Add crossings, ...
