First off, the new relations support is great! The highlighting allowed me to find a gap in a cycle route. I filled it in, but had to find the route relation among about twenty building-multipolygons. Hence this suggestion:

The list of relations shown when clicking the new "link" button should be filtered as appropriate for the current selection. Ultimately you may want to do more, but for the moment filtering out multipolygons for non-closed ways would be great.
