The purple used by Osmarender for areas tagged amenity=school'' or ''amenity=university is quite bright, and rather glaring in contrast to the more subtle greys and (less subtle :)) greens used for other large areas. It can make university towns in particular look quite unpleasant: [http://openstreetmap.org/?lat=51.75122&lon=-1.24858&zoom=15&layers=0BFT Central Oxford, UK]. The large magenta label text compounds the problem.
Could we switch to using the rather pleasant shade of yellow used by Mapnik currently for this type of area? Much nicer, IMO.
