In edit mode, if I adjust the node size and then pan to a different location the node size is not preserved.

Ideally it should be preserved across sessions and be preserved separately for each zoom level.

This should really be split into two...

Node size will eventually be fixed by zoom level (#92), and the applet will eventually have its own implementation of the slippy maps/tiles interface (#91).
