In the export tab, I often find myself transferring the displayed max scale into the scale edit box. Maybe the max scale text could be a button that says "Use max scale of 1:4550"?
I guess the usual style would be two radio buttons, one with the free-form text field, the other one saying "Max scale (1:4550)", but that uses a bit more screen real estate.
