After a long editing session using Internet Explorer (version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) I find that the Applet locks up after clicking one of the pan buttons.

At this point clicking the browser Close button has no effect.

Task manager shows IE to have a status of running, but the only way to recover from this appears to be to terminate the task.

No java app should lock up the runtime or the runtime lock up IE, this is not a bug with OSM.
